Ava Kris Tyson
Ava Kris Tyson (born July 1, 1996), formerly known as Kris Tyson and before that Chris Tyson, is an American YouTube celebrity best known as the former co-host and on-screen member of the MrBeast YouTube channel, appearing in most videos alongside Jimmy for over a decade. She participated in countless challenge and prank videos and was part of the core cast consistently featured on the channel. She is also the main host of "Beast Reacts" (formerly BeastHacks).

Ava initially described herself as a "country boy," growing up as a Boy Scout (and reportedly a Cub Scout before that). In survival challenges she was consistently the one doing the most work. She's a huge fan of cartoons, which gives her a childish, playful streak, and she's arguably the most vulgar — and most "useful" — member during survival-style challenges. She shares a lot of traits with Karl (competitiveness, love of cartoons, humor), which made them extremely close.
Ava grew up in North Carolina and still lives there today. She and Jimmy Donaldson created their channel in 2012. Outside YouTube she maintains an active Instagram presence with millions of followers.
Kris Tyson has two inactive YouTube channels: KrisO2 (no videos) and Tysonboy34_ (with videos). She is best known for appearing in countless MrBeast videos — insane challenges, spending sprees, survival challenges and more — alongside Jimmy Donaldson. She also streams on Twitch as KrisO2_, often with others. In late April 2023, rumors circulated that she had been fired from the main crew after she was missing from photos of the crew filming in Paris, but she debunked the rumor, saying she wanted to spend more time with her son, and continued appearing (notably in "Ages 1 - 100 Fight For $500,000"). Through 2024 her appearances became less frequent, and in July 2024 she officially stepped away from the MrBeast brand following the Shädman controversy.

In March 2022 she showed her nails getting done on Twitter, one of the first public signs of her feminine expression. In the video "$1 vs $500,000 Plane Ticket!" fans noticed her changed appearance; she confirmed she had been on hormone replacement therapy for about two months prior. Her first public appearance as a transgender woman was on July 22, 2023 during the "I spent a day with KRIS TYSON" interview on Channel Smash Alike, where she appeared in a dress and said "I'm a woman!" In early June 2023 she updated her Snapchat pronouns to she/her, and in 2024 she changed her name from Kris Tyson to Ava Kris Tyson.
Following intense public scrutiny in 2024, it was discovered she had obtained and shared artwork by the controversial artist Shädman, including purchasing an inappropriate depiction of a young female character. She also faced severe backlash over past predatory tweets and allegations of grooming minors in a private Discord server.
On July 23, 2024, Kris addressed the allegations via a series of tweets, announcing her departure from the MrBeast crew to prioritize her family and mental health. She denied any involvement in grooming and apologized for past actions. The following day, Jimmy Donaldson announced on Twitter that he would seek an independent third-party investigation and remove her from the MrBeast brand. Videos later released on Prime (such as "I Spent 7 Days Buried Alive") were re-edited to exclude her appearances and speaking roles.
Ava's known family includes her maternal grandmother and mother (both of whom appeared in Beast Reacts try-not-to-laugh videos), her father, her sister Sarah Tyson, and her son Tucker Tyson.
